髙田織物は明治25年の創業以来、細巾織物一筋に技を磨き続けてまいりました。約1,000種類に及ぶ多彩な定番商品と、特色ある独自製品の開発を積み重ねる中で、私たちは単なる「製品」ではなく「価値」を提供することの意義を深く実感してきました。

Since our founding in 1892, Takata Orimono has dedicated itself exclusively to the craftsmanship of narrow-width woven textiles. Through the development of approximately 1,000 standard product varieties and many uniquely distinctive offerings, we have come to deeply appreciate the importance of providing not merely “products,” but “value.”

Tatami-beri (tatami edging) is more than just a building material. It reflects the thoughts of those who design the space and captures the personality of the room, even enhancing the brand value of tatami itself. It is our mission to deliver this meaningful and valuable component of Japan’s traditional culture to people around the world.

In recent years, we have been grateful to receive positive feedback on new applications of tatami-beri beyond construction, as a material used across diverse fields. Moving forward, we will continue to leverage our long-cultivated techniques in narrow-width weaving, honoring tradition while always pursuing innovation and embracing new possibilities.
